i start with going over the types of regular nunchaku and what they can be made with, i then go over the components of fire chucks and how to wield them safely.
types of handles you can have
wood ( all types) , metal (aluminum is a nice weight and burn friendly), plastic ( polycarbonate is the most durable clear plastic out there, great for glow chucks.
connectors can be
rope, cord, chain, even fabric.
Tips/Hints: remember
long cord = slower, more momentum, more rolls and easier to do contact moves.
short cord = faster, more control, more difficult to do wrist and finger rolls
