(Download video) Pairing up in cascade juggling Uploaded by ruggler This video uses Mathematics and Physics explains why all (but one) of the objects in an odd-numbered cascade juggling pattern tend to "pair up" at certain instances in time. It goes through the Mathematics, step by step, to show that all objects will pair up simultaneously rather than erratically. This result is apparent if you look at the freeze frames of someone who is very good at juggling the particular number (or in Jongl screenshots). *It is shown that the acceleration of gravity has no effect over whether or not objects will pair up.
