As to the strike of a bell, these videos opened up so much inspiration, new ideas, curiosity and joy, that my only regret is not buying it sooner. Fire Safety DVD - 5 stars!!
Reviewer: Anonymous from United StatesOkay, to anyone reading this, just please keep in mind that the purpose of this video is to teach proper safety procedures, absolutely essential knowledge if you are considering working with fire. It is *not* meant to teach you the fire spinning craft in and of itself.
Understanding that, please read on...
The DVD does an excellent job instructing fire safety, from everything from appropriate dress, how to safely light up, and extinguish your poi, necessary equipment, it's purpose and use, and the importance of a safety partner (**essential**). How to properly pre-check your equipment is also covered. In addition to this, very useful information is given on how to properly plan for, and train for, any accidents that may occur while spinning (partner required - always, and you'll see why). Finally, the interviews are interesting, and very valuable, and the footage of Sage spinning fire is very enjoyable as well.
I feel that this belongs in every spinner's library. And it's free!
