COL 2010 released as a free download

After a bit of a battle here it is

COL 2010 download
and now also on DVD

This years COL, at this point, will not now also be available on DVD. This is due to YouTube and other sites sharing videos for free.

COL had been a major fundraiser for us to provide the forums and free lessons in years past.
Even though there is no return from sales, we will still be providing prizes for the winning clips. To help support COL please continue to purchase your gear from us.

We are very proud of COL and the Performance Arts Community for what they have accomplished and also for inspiring so many others.

Much thanks to all and I look forward to seeing what next years COL2011 will bring.

Anyway, the new format looks well set up, and I hope it saves on production costs.

Thats a real pity from my point of view I've got all the others on DVD and I only access the web from work so can't download the new one, or watch it (no PC at home). *crys*

Well durn. The first year I was going to buy it... Well I know it's a bit late now, but if it ever is available on DVD, I'd buy it, even with the free download around.

I'm sorry to hear that but to be honest... I've looked up and you can download Encyclo-poi-dia and Nick's DVDs from IsoHunt. However, I still got mine from HoP. There will always be people willing to give up some of their money to support something they love.
But I do realize that making DVDs also cost money and if you can't make enough on them to come to a positive zero it makes no sense to make them at all.

Yeah, I mean... with the internet you can get practically anything for free, but it's always good to support those making it.

Some folks over in the juggling world stopped releasing DVD's and now throw a video up for a fee to download for a few weeks and then take it down. Guess it's cheaper than DVD making but I don't know.... I'm still a fan of holding something in my hands. If my computer crashes I hate to lose something I paid for, you know? But I digress....


Aside from the money end of things, there are some wonderful videos in this years CoL, I haven't watched all of them yet, but wonderful job everyone! ^_^
